Planting & Maintenance

Sun: Full sun, tolerates light shade
Soil: You may choose to amend soil when planting but it is not necessary
Water: All new plant material needs regular watering – see our Plant Care Guide.
Special Considerations: Don’t over water. Depending on specimen, snow or ice load can become an issue. Overall, this tree is a reliable and economic blue evergreen for narrow spaces but not necessarily prized as a specimen.
Maintenance: Pruning on an annual basis is not recommended. If branches are troublesome, prune selectively. May need to be selectively pruned for shape if branches droop from snow or ice load.
